Gestalt Therapy Supervision Group 2010-2011
The Cincinnati Gestalt Institute is offering two on-going supervision groups.
Eligibility: Those who have successfully completed at least one year of training at the Cincinnati Gestalt Institute or an equivalent training experience.
Format: Many people who have learned Gestalt methodology are incorporating it into their clinical work. However, often people are not in an environment that contains other Gestalt trained professionals to share work with and get support from. We designed this supervision group to get several people using the Gestalt methodology together to share their clinical work and hear how others are using this methodology. This is a place to bring difficult clinical cases for supervision and suggestions. It is also a place where you will hear how different professionals are using Gestalt therapy in various settings and with a variety of clients. In addition to specific cases, people might bring in specific clinical issues that they would like some support on. One member of the training faculty will be present at each session to support the work and add to the supervision.
Meeting Time: The program will meet once a month for 9 sessions, September through May. The present groups have been meeting on Wednesday mornings, 9:30 a.m. - noon. The specific dates each month depend upon schedules of the participants. The first group, which is filled, meets on the second Wednesday of each month. The second supervision group, which presently has openings, meets on the third Wednesday of each month.
CEUs: The program has been approved for 22.5 Continuing Education credits for psychologists, social workers and counselors.
Fee: The nine session program will cost $360.
